I love Philly. I was born here. But there's no way, in anyone's lifetime, that Phila. could match it. Shopping. Feel. Met. of Museum of Art. Natural History Museum. Broadway theaters/theater district. The level of wealth. There's a reason why actress Demi Moore believes she can sell her condo on Central Park West for $75 million. Nothing like that is likely here.

Times Sq.? You haven't been there lately or at all. There's little to no vehicular traffic now. Cars have been mostly banned. It's a pedestrian-like plaza.

You are not doing Phila. any favors by making these exaggerated claims.
YAY to Karen! You go, gurl!

Is anyone going to tell patrons of that future restaurant what it used to be? Probably not.

That ridiculous troll I was answering actually lives in San Jose, CA. I found that out today. Sigh... He/She is not in Philly at all.

OK we all know that 1700 Market Street will have additional facade for some restaurants . Apparently, so is 1835 Market Street!

Building Bump-Outs Will Bring Dining (and Possibly Retail) to Market Street West - Property

They have 3 renderigs for the 1835 Market St. I like the first one. While it does not really fill-out potential space, it looks unique.

Ardmore has really been coming back to life lately. Lots of new restaurants, a new Wine & Spirits, new DMV, etc. Perhaps the cinema eyesore there will end up the same new tenant as the Boyd?

Are you serious? There are a bunch of empty storefronts on Lancaster Ave. That sports whatever, that was in the old Ardmore movie theater, is empty. Macy's is leaving the old S&C location in Suburban Sq.

Where exactly are the new restaurants? Oh, I guess you mean that lame pizza place that opened in Ardmore West.

Iron Hill Brewery on Greenfield Ave, Not Your Average Joe's in Suburban Square, and one other brewery I forget the name of. Why don't you go to one and order CROW?
