A little further back in this thread someone commented about how KN should have known about Amy's felonious background. Well, unless they lied on the application, KN did know. Not that it would necessarily have kept them from casting them on the show. It's not like KN went looking for restaurants in trouble. These crazy people actually asked for help. Would love to see what they put on the application about what the problems were with the restaurant. I'm betting there was a lot of blaming. Everyone but themselves.

Here's the actual application they had to fill out.

Right. KN doesn't go looking for the sites. It would be VERY interesting to see their application, wouldn't it?

It's the equivalent of slowing down to look at a car accident. Human nature. Morbid curiosity. Schadenfreude. That's why we are all on this thread.

I suspect they are expecting a show, not food. From the slow service (well, more accurately preparation) we saw, with a full house there will be people who never get food in front of them.

Pretty good indication that they're going to get what they signed up for since the P.R. company bailed. Pretty bad when the people you hire to save your butt watch you for a week and bail out as quick as they signed on.
Personally instead of sitting in the supposed "restaurant" I think it'd be better for the public to be outside with signs showing their displeasure (respectfully of course) with the actions of this blight on Scottsdale (and now AZ).
These two use people, they tried to use Kitchen Nightmares, they used their staff, they've attempted to use the public via playing to religion and crying victim.
Time to peacefully, respectfully voice an opinion, that's why you've got the 1st amendment.

I usually don't fall for this kind of stuff but I have to admit, it's interesting to watch them implode.
It makes me wonder, "there are really people like this"?????? Could this just be for attention? These people can't be real.
What I want to know is where their bankroll came from? I'm guessing the restaurant has not been a money maker and that Sam has a few bucks. They claim that he has invested over a million dollars in this venture?
So where did all the money come from? With the kind of elitist attitude these folks have, what kind of business or investments could they have done prior to this to make the kind of money that can sustain a losing proposition such as this?
From what I can see, this is a case of an old guy getting hooked up with a much younger woman and cowering down to her rants just to keep her from bailing out of the relationship. Just my take on things.

Why do I keep thinking of Boris and Natasha from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show?

I'm back in Canada but if I was in Phoenix, I would try to get a seat. Its an adventure! Entertainment! Why not? You're not hurting anyone by going. The waiters, cooks, patrons etc are all going in eyes open so wth. (But I'm sure someone can find an angle to be offended)
