The judge found Arpaio and three of his deputies guilty of contempt of court in the civil rights case against them. The taxpayers have shelled out $50 million bucks defending this loser. This on top of the millions spent so far settling the lawsuits against him from everyone from criminals to county supervisors. What could have been done our money besides this? And Republicans will send him back for another term this fall.

And people praise him for being a conservative as he flushes our money away. Send his old bones packing.

Even after he is gone we will all be paying for him until the case is resolved and that could be years. The judge is about to order restitution for the people he illegally targeted, so that will add who know how much to the total. It could end up over 100 million before it is over.

Can we finally be done with Arpaio? I'm so tired of him.

As I understand it, this clears the way for possibly finding him in criminal contempt. That could be either misdemeanor or felony. Either way, though, we the tax payers will get hit for it which is the real crime in this whole Arpaio saga.

It's a local issue. Leave it at that. The millions and millions spent defending Arpaio and paying settlements for his incompetence and criminality could build a good many things we need in Maricopa County like libraries, schools, parks, and even jails. I wish just the people who vote for him would be taxed to cover it, but it doesn't work that way.

They vote for him because they agree with what he is doing. Many voters think the law is wrong and don't really care if they waste tax money.

So small government by convenience, big when I care about the issue.

When will Arpaio's enemies learn that you can't take him down using political tactics.....all it will do is make him more of a hero to those that like him.

In the end this will amount to nothing and the money that those are whining about turn a blind eye to trillions wasted it is easy to spot their feigned disgust in this as well.

Lawsuits are more common than you think and for Joes enemies to make hay of that are clueless to the facts....I'll give you a couple.

The Cook County Board of Commissioners agreed to pay $55 million in 2010 to settle a class-action lawsuit over illegal strip searches conducted at the county jail

The Chicago Sun-Times reported in 2014 that police misconduct lawsuits cost Chicago taxpayers $521 million during the previous decade....that is 52 million a year for 10 years.

The big difference is that Joe has some of the best recidivism rates in the country....at least you guys are getting your moneys worth...how many 10's of millions is he saving the tax payers for that???
