According to my friends who live in Ahwautukee, their realtor told them she was required to tell them about the pending freeway construction when they were going to make an offer on their house. I would think unless they moved in before the freeway was planned, they knew it was coming before they purchased their homes.

Default Why did you allow that freeway to get built?

You don't want the folks from the West valley to have easy access. Your home values might drop.

Saw from a couple drives along the freeway that there are many luxury homes still under construction near the west end of Ahwatukee. Also, many housing developments have started construction east of the freeway on either side of Elliot Rd in Laveen.

It has had a much bigger positive impact on traffic than I would have ever guessed.

Good point but they still have to pay the mortgage, and there is a reason home prices are lower on the west side.
