i beg to differ. lots and lots of this thinking esp among the poor. for people that are porous like a sponge yes everything flows right thru them and they absorb their surroundings. not everybody is like this. some of us rise above our surroundings.trading places is not a documentary. the successful get that way by hard work skills prudence good attitude and living below their means. losers attempt to do it by buying lotto tickets and watching eddie murphy movies.

Interesting,I've observed where I live now is certainly infertile ground and thus no one grows here. Luckily my formative years were spent in a somewhat more fertile place.
