They love their guns!
Last time I checked, guns ARE weapons. And, yes, no need to tell me I do know this is a conservative place. I just didn't realize HOW MUCH it would matter.

The only thing I find funny is that despite people owning guns the crime has dropped in Phoenix and Arizona. Actually Phoenix has witnessed the largest drop in crime of any major city, LOL! And as for people like movin'on and krock, who is from either Indiana or Michigan, complain about how crime ridden Phoenix is, is laughable and is LMFAO...I mean have you heard of Flint, MI and Gary, IN...LOL, Detroit? Chicago, Ft. Wayne, or Indianapolis. LOL! I mean these cities fail to graduate 40% of their children from high school, have the most dangerous streets in the nation, and the unemployment rates are many times that of Phoenix. But hey... they payout $1,000 more per student so that makes it all better...LMAO, and we wonder why these people are here yet complaining about it. Makes NO sense!

Your "facts" were meandering and not central to the thread at hand - Phoenix's image problem.

No one (I) was arguing what is legal or not. I made the comment that brandishing (aggressively displaying) weapons at a presidental gathering makes Arizonans look like freaks. And it does.

Please accept the fact that you are a 'closet' conservative despite being openly Gay

Carrying a rifle over your shoulder, or carrying a firearm concealed or in a holster on your hip, is NOT brandishing.

You have lots to learn junior

LOL, well I haven't hidden my social liberalism and conservative traits when it comes to government and fiscal issues. I don't mind slight tax increases and support Gov. Brewer's temporary tax increase but I don't think the government should over-regulate. For one, I think banning gay marriage is "too much government" as it forces religious views into the social realm. This is how many Arizonans think and makes this state extremely unique compared to other places. We can own guns here and not use them for gang-banging...GO FIGURE, LOL! It's not like we are handing out firearms to felons and those who are shooting up the OK Corral. LOL! Some of those places with the toughest gun laws are also the most dangerous...D.C., Detroit, Baltimore, Miami, etc. etc. But I am not a conservative by definition and arguably, most Arizonans do not fit the definition on a national level.

Also, those "freaks" carrying weapons WERE a staged RALLY and peaceful protest for gun rights laws. They weren't armed and dangerous and they were engaged in arguments with pro-Obama healthcare people. They argued without shooting them so where is the "danger" and "nut-bag" reaction from these people. We can disagree and debate can't we, this is America is it not??? It is so stupid and annoying to hear "liberal-friendlies" from "real" liberal places stereotype, hate, label, and judge people based on prejudice; something they claim to despise yet dish it out like no other.

I beg to differ. To display weapons outside a presidential gathering is aggressive.

BRANDISH (verb)
The verb BRANDISH has 2 senses:

1. move or swing back and forth
2. exhibit aggressively

What does brandish mean? definition, meaning and pronunciation (Free English Language Dictionary)

Now, if you want to split hairs and define aggressive, be my guest. Arizonans STILL looked like freaks, law or no law.

They argued without shooting them so where is the danger? Tell me, did those pro healthcare people know they were going to argue without getting shot? Did they know the weapons were not loaded? (assuming this is true in all cases)

I'm just astounded at some of these posts.
