When the races were integrated in the military, did they ask white soldiers how gross it would be to shower with blacks?
What a shame that they're dragging this out like this. The leaders (Congress, the Pentagon, the President, etc.) should just make up their minds and put the new rules in place.
What does skin color have to do with this subject, we can't go back in time. We have to deal with what's on the table today in 2010.
As a female I wouldn't want to be in a common shower room with lesbians.
If I was a male I wouldn't want to shower in a common room with homosexual men.
It's a valid question that needs to be asked of the troops. Why should they be worried about being eye perved in the shower.
Ask a woman how she would like to shower with a barrack full of men . Or ask a man ow he would like to shower with one full of women ? Same exact thing .

No, the point is: Since when does the military take surveys of the soldiers' feelings about who serves and who does not? Did they also take a survey of white soldiers asking them how they felt about serving with Asian-Americans?
