jindal is a strong solid conservative, that scares the pants off the liberals, and what is worse is that he is a minority. jindal is showing true leadership in louisiana by rallying the people and building the sand berms to help prevent oil from seeping into the wetlands as best as possible. jindal is actually doing something, even if he makes a mistake he is out there trying to make things better.
Jindal is nothing more than a politician trying desperately to position himself for a presidential run. His first stab at it was that dreadful response to Obama's first SOTU that sent Jindal into hiding for months..He resurfaced during the spill to do some photo ops and grandstanding which had no effect on anything because he didn't fix anything. His attempts to "fix" the oil problem may have exacerbated it. That's what happens when you're busy grandstanding and not making good sound well informed decisions.
Anyway, with the republican party falling into the hands of the fringe right wing, Jindal has NO SHOT of winning the nomination anytime soon. He'll have to get in line behind the TRIFECTA of YOU BETCHA, Palin, Brewer and Bachman.
He makes Obama look to be the incompetent, inept, pansyass that he is and that infuriates the left. I think that about sums up why the dems have Jindal in their crosshairs.

Anyone that looks like they may a viable/popular contender for the Elephants in 2012 has to be creamed and spit upon by the Donkeys/leftists as early as possible in order to reduce his or her (Palin ring a bell?) creds.
Personally, I don't have anything in particular against Jidal, it's just like Blanco, Naggin and a long line of Louisiana politicians who made deals with the devil, the petro-chemical companies that have been polluting and destroying Louisiana wetlands for as long as I can remember without making the slightest effort to prepare for the havoc that those companies would wreck upon the state.
