When your deductions are more than what you would owe...which is my case. I always get a big refund.

What is the reason for this? (not trying to be a smarta**, just curious)
They don't have income amounts that add up to having a tax bill. This trend is continuing to grow.

I hope that we will soon be in this category...ahhhh, the joys of not paying any federal income tax.

Is the idea that more and more people won't be paying any federal income tax wrong to some people???

Surely not.

What is wrong is that there are so many that do not earn enough to have a tax bill, and those numbers have been, and are continuing, to grow.

I don't think the people who do not make enough to owe tax are particularly happy about it.

Why is it 'wrong' that people aren't paying federal income tax and that the number is increasing?

Not everyone wants to make money....

The majority of people that get refunds do so because their withholding was larger than needed, so they get a refund of the excess. That doesn't mean they paid no tax. The people that pay no tax, do so because their income was too low to warrant it. I doubt that there are many people who like being in that bracket.
