A lot of people seem to be squirming over that phrase! I hope the poster comes back and explains just what s/he meant.

I meant that I thought it very dis-honorable to "use" MLK "against" the "leftists". The poster who wrote that can explain how Beck did that.
Sharpton probably did use MLK; I don't know; I'm no fan of his and I didn't watch his rally or read anything about it.

Well that's a non-answer. So, again...how did Beck use MLK? What exactly was 'dis-honorable' about his message? Surely you have a reason, and didn't simply parrot a phrase from another poster without understanding HIS meaning...
Personally I wish that people could have the intelligence to be discerning enough not to label all people who agree with some of what Beck and Palin have to say as "mindless followers." You are one of those like it or leave it people. How closed minded of you.
Actually, I believe this nation IS large enough to accomodate all kinds of people, even those who think their religion is an acceptable excuse for their bigotry. I agree with a little of what Beck has to say. I also believe he's merely an entertainer, not to be taken seriously.

I don't think you can have morality without religion, but then I was really excited today at the effect Beck was having on that crowd.
How many people do you think were there? Why were they there?
I know PLENTY of religious people with no morals as well as people who don't believe that truly ARE moral. I do not believe this country has ever LOST it's honor. Sure, there have been dishonorable leaders and power-hungry charmers like Beck, Palin etc. come & go. But this still is a great nation, even if not enough of us always think clearly...
Don't keep me awake at night either, somebody has to stop the anti-christ if there is any such thing.
