Really?

You're really not being very tolerant here.
You seem to be stuck in the "you are intolerant" mode. I did not get upset so do not assume to know what I am thinking. I merely pointed out that nothing in my screen name hints at "lefty hippie". Why don't you stick to the topic of the post? Yes I stand by my comments 100%. I can be tolerant when it is justified, but I am not an idiot. Many people deserve to be called out for the destructive hypocrites that they are.

Unbelievers refer to those who do not believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

That is your opinion. A non believer would imply that one had no belief in God. There are many that believe in God, but do not believe in Jesus as the son of God or a resurrection. So you mean that a non beleiver according to your beliefs, refers to those who do not believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Just wanted to get that straight.

Social Security is Unbiblical

It is. What in the Bible supports this?

Retirement is unbiblical also just in case you are not aware.

You work as long as you can to feed yourself. If you plan on not working later in life - plan ahead - save your money and don't invest in things that will lose money. For people who need help - use local or state governments to help on an "as needed" basis. That's just common sense.

That's pretty much the biblical definition.

Would you like to deal with the economics and the Bible or will I be the focus?

This is why many on CD will argue to the bitter end on these issues and use terms like Liberal, Progressive and Democrat as if they are blasphemous. These are religious fanatic, brainwashed SOB's!

Typical left wing loon - confusing politics with faith and vice versa.

The left is amusing, in that they do not realize that thier hatred for Christianity has its origins in Stalin and the Frankfurt School. The church, the family, and the middle class were recognized as the main impediments to the spread of socialism/communism to the west, therefore these entities became the main target for leftists. The Frankfurt School, its members who were driven from Nazi Germany to the US, became the origins of "liberal thought", which targeted the church, the family and the middle class to make the west more "receptive" to socialism.

As a "useful idiots", who have been given thier marching orders of liberalism and fail with regard to the intellectual ability to understand why they "think" as they do, the liberal has embraced the anti- Christain position dutifully. Examination of one's thoughts and thier origins is difficult, and it is much easier to simply follow relfex orders and regurgiate inane party doctine. Stalin would be proud of such fools.

Perhaps if our liberal friends would embrace the words of Jefferson, rather than Stalin, they might make more sense.

So this is your personal religious belief. There is nothing wrong with paying into a system for retirement...it has worked until corruption started raiding the account. Again... this is is not a Theocracy as much as many would like it to be. Americans do not have to abide dogmatically by a Bible and no one has the right to insist that they do. Most elderly people that I know have saved and still appreciate and benefit from a system that they paid into.

From the OP link...

Social Security is Unbiblical

With the propagation of socialism, people were ready for the New Deal of Franklin Roosevelt. Programs such as Social Security and other welfare agencies, set up the State as provider rather than God. (America's Providential History, p.251)

"What Bob Riley is doing is acting like a Christian," said the Rev. Jim Wallis, the editor of Sojourners, an Evangelical Christian magazine that focuses on social justice issues. Wallis believes his faith mandates support for progressive policies such as government services for the poor. "The Bible is full of poor people," he said. "Biblical politics has the poor at the center."

If the above applies to your belief system, that is your business...so mind it and do not believe that you can force others to abide by it and agree with you.

Ah, typical extreme right wing parrot...confused about a thread that clearly states that it is the right that intermingling government and politics. Show me where any Liberal or Progressive has run on religious babbling. Embrace the words of Jefferson? here ya go...

On December 20th, 1787, Jefferson wrote to James Madison about his concerns regarding the Constitution. He said, bluntly, that it was deficient in several areas. “I will now tell you what I do not like,” he wrote. “First, the omission of a bill of rights, providing clearly, and without the aid of sophism, for freedom of religion, freedom of the press, protection against standing armies, restriction of monopolies, the eternal and unremitting force of the habeas corpus laws, and trials by jury in all matters of fact triable by the laws of the land, and not by the laws of nations.”

The right defended health insurance company monopolies. The right revises history to suit a radical Christain agenda and buys into crap that Beck peddles as if he were the foremost expert on the Founding Fathers...yeah right!

Go spew your right wing rhetoric on a soap boxnwith an audience of Joe The Plumbers if you want someone to listen.
