I'm sorry? But, they lived in the same dorm room? I don't understand what they did wrong except for the live stream of the sexual act. Let the district attorney handle this. You are not an attorney so butt out now.
In this day and age anything goes. Yelling, insulting, attempting to humiliate people for 'fun' is an everyday occurrence, not to mention socially accepted behaviour.
This Ravi character is cruel and thoughtless. Nothing could've made him act any differently. What he did was attempt to utterly humiliate another human being. I hope he's proud of himself, because he succeeded. IMO, he should get thrown out of Rutgers and he and that other 'individual' should be prosecuted. Thank God New Jersey has laws against this abysmal behaviour.
Bet you'd be singing a different tune if he were gay?
Then it would be a hate crime.
he was gay (or at least the sexual encounter was with another boy) I guess somebody didn't bother to click on the link
I would think that in order for them to say this was a hate crime they have to prove that he did it because the other kid was gay (or making out with a boy). His friend claimed that he would have done the same if it had been a girl, so it doesn't make him a homophone or gay basher...just makes him a thoughtless jerk.
Would be a good time for schools to get back to teaching personal responsibility and respect for others. Respect he'll probably see little of for the rest of his life.
Mr. Ravi may get to experience the joys of sex of which Mr. Clementi became deprived. With cameras, but alas, without the kisses.

Sweet dreams.
I think you mean good time for parents to get back to teaching personal responsibility and respect for others.
Which clearly, neither of the perpetrators' parents bothered to do.
