Based on the atrocities committed against Palestinian people that have become so egregious that even those within the Israeli Defense Forces have spoken out against them. I don't think you can say with any validity that Israel has strong moral authority. That is why support for Israel around the world is declining. You can't hold your throat down on a group of people and do everything possible to deprive them politically and economically and say in good conscience you have strong moral authority.
And why is not the world not condemning Jordan for taking away Jordanian citizenship from people in their country of Palestinian origin? (See Jordan, Dr. Peace and Mr. Apartheid).
Why is the world not condemning the Egyptian Government for its land blockade of Gaza?
Why are the Arab nations who told the Palestinians to leave their home in 1948/9 not condemned for not helping to rehabilitate all the Arab Palestinians?
Why does the World only blame Israel for the Palestinians' current situation?

Are you kidding? There have been wars? Tanks driving to Israel's capital. Air battles. Snipers, rocket attacks. Have you really not been following things for the past 60+ years?

Sharia is very clear the restrictions put on dhimmis in Dal-Al-Islam (land of Islam). Not every country enforces all provisions all ofthe time but they are there ready to be implemented whenever the government feels a need. If you want an example of some provisions of Sharia that discriminate on non-Muslims:
Non-Muslim testimony is not admissible in court.
Non-Muslim houses of worship can not be repaired
Non-Muslim dwellings can not be constructed over a certain height.
non-Muslims must not emulate Muslims in style of dress. (to make it easier to differentiate and thus discriminate against them)

They have been trying to hand them their own country in return for simply agreeing Israel has a right to exist, they refuse to do thet.
They’re trying to handing them a country THAT THEY TOOK FROM THEM in the first place. The creation of Israel in 1947 was a power play by the Western Powers of that time against the Arab states to appease the Jewish people and alleviate their own guilt for not preventing the Holocaust. They literally shoved U.N resolutions down the throats of Arab nations in the region to create Israel and then Jewish settlers literally threw Palestinians off of land they had owned for generations often at the point of gun and the threat of death. Often these Palestinians could take nothing that they couldn't carry.
THE PALESTINIANS WERE NEVER COMPENSATED FOR THE LAND AND POSSESSIONS THAT THEY LOST!
Now put yourself in a similar situation. You'd be pretty pissed off if this happened to you, your family and your people.

Do you believe that Israel was just "created"? No it was not. Israel was shoved down the throat of Arab nations and the Palestinian people by western powers using U.N resolutions. The Palestinian people were FORCIBLY removed from their land without due process or compensation.
This is the root cause of antagonism between Arab nations and Israel and western nations that support it.
There will NEVER be any sustainable peace in the region until this fundamental injustice is acknowledged, confronted, resolved and compensated for.
Yes, this wa a terrible incident and those responsible all should be brought to justice -- even 40 years after the fact. It still does not change the situation today where Israel is fighting for its life, surrounded by enemies that want to see its destruction. Isreal needs to take steps to secure its borders adn to deal with the internal threats as well.
Lets see......Lately.......Mmmmm. How about the sniper from Lebanon who shot the Israeli officer 300ft inside the border of Israel. But yet they didn't shoot the three Israeli soldiers that were cutting a tree near the border. Do you think they were getting ready to kidnap three soldiers??
Kidnapping soldiers from across the border? That sounds familiar......Thats right thats what started the last Lebanon/Israel war.
