Evolution starts at the first life and moves from there.
Even before that. The earth evolved from a circulating mass of magma. Before that it's likely a supernova happened before that. It all finds its roots in the big bang. We await CERN's evaluations.

Monkey see, monkey do.

All it takes is one combination of those monkey's banging to set in motion a chain of events that sparks the interest that comes to be "man".

She's very proud of the fact that I know the difference between "your" and "you're" and that I know that evolution has nothing to do with creation, and that I know the vast difference between a layman's theory and a scientific theory.

I've always believed in evolution...but the more I look at politicians, the less I believe it.

It is kind of neat, but not definitive.

How convenient. you have no clue how it began, but you claim to know what keeps it going.

We can engineer a new strain of corn, or a better salmon, but what if some advanced civilization engineered you and me? What if we are no more aware, for our part, then an bug just before it ends up a part of your windshield?
