Wow! You just described Laura Bush and the way the lefties feel about her.

That isn't true at all! I thought Laura Bush was gracious and genteel. I very much appreciated her spotlight on education as First Lady. She's an attractive and bright woman who always dressed appropriately and I would rather have had her in the Oval Office instead of the doofus she married. Knee-jerk responses are seldom accurate.

Agreed! I actually quite liked Laura Bush and Hilary Clinton before her. I think we've had a string of quite intelligent and diverse women in the white house and it's only paving the way to the first female President

? Everyone likes Laura. What's not to like? She didn't exactly pull herself up by her own bootstraps the way Michelle did, but she's a librarian

Absolutely! It's wonderful to see women exhibit the strength and ability that they have shown. The First Lady has more class in her little finger than some people have counting all ten digits.

Let's be honest. She didn't pull herself up by her bootstraps. Affirmative action lent a leg. She also failed the Bar exam.

Mrs. Obama came from a middle-class home; such students generally are accepted into Ivy League schools by virtue of their grades and SAT and other test scores. It is no surprise to most of us that many minorities succeed on their own merits. Is there proof that the FLOTUS was accepted to meet a quota?
In point of fact, Colin Powell has often expressed his belief in and gratitude for A.A.

Not true. "Young" does not describe Laura Bush.

Why is it that every time a minority of any type is successful it's automatically because of AA?

Yes, she failed the Bar exam...but so did a lot of people. Look it up, it's quite interesting.
