I hear that there are only 25 municipalities in Alaska that tax property. And states don't collect property tax. The local communities collect that tax. And some communities don't charge a property tax.

I recently had a talk with someone last night. We had an interesting discussion about the South and the Civil War. According to him, there is an attitude about the Civil War in the South that he noticed. What he noticed was that even though the war is over and the South lost, many people insist on flying the Confederate flag. According to him, the loser of a war should not fly the flag on the winner's soil. That was in his eyes.
