Gee, I didn't hear any ideas from obama - isn't he the leader of the country?

I guess he's waiting for the big boys to figure it out for him.

I think the President is right that, by G-d, we need to start focusing on fixing our education system or we will soon be unable to compete in a world market.
So throw even more good money after bad. Tell me, the DC school systems spends about $15,000/pupil and look at just what a complete disaster it is. That is enough money for the best a private education can offer.

DOE WILL be cut and SHOULD be eliminated altogether.

I, for one, am just so happy that NancyPalooza is over. Being able to focus on The President, without having her dopey looks distracting from that, was much more enjoyable.

Sanrene hated the speech? Color me shocked! Didn't you just say the same thing about his speech in Tucson? In your opinion, when did he have "good" speeches? I'm really interested to find out.

November 2012 is still too far too call - but think of the hits that Obama has endured in the last year - the oil spill, the devolution into insanity of the right, etc, etc., and his approval is STILL hovering around 50%.

Plus, the economy is picking up and still has 18 months to go.

The GOP house will likely be ineffectual (too many divergent goals there), and the party has no stars to run in 2012. Palin has turned into a massive thorn in their side.

Can't wait 'til the election! I predict a lot of exploding heads around here.

Someone needs to tell Obama that the goverment doesn't make any money. All these "government" loans he's talking bout using to pay for his pie in the sky ideas come from hard working middle class Americans. You don't rob peter to pay paul and get an economy going again. But he's a lawyer not an economist. A do nothing puke community organizer from Illinois. What the hell did you morons who voted him into office expect? You want change........>Ron Paul and Jesse Venture in 2012~

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I totally agree with
you We were sitting there saying to ourselves, and....
It lacked substance and was as you say recycled - you
say pap - I say crap Going on and on about education - how old is this getting.
We have students with college degrees now, that can't find jobs.

The highlight of the evening for us was watching Frankel
and Rand Paul shoot the breeze, and realizing how tiny Supreme Court Judge Ginsburg really is. That's how
impressed we were with his speech and vision for America
