WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama called on lawmakers on Tuesday to work with him to cut the corporate tax rate, but his pitch to offset lost revenues by slashing important tax cherished by companies could stall the effort.
"I'm asking Democrats and Republicans to simplify the system. Get rid of the loopholes," Obama said in his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress. "A parade of lobbyists has rigged the important tax to benefit particular companies and industries."

Decade after decade of the same old crap is what it is. It's nothing more than a political speech and never, ever (regardless of who is in office) reflects what actually needs to be said. The only President in my lifetime that ever gave a substantial SoTUA was Reagan.
I am sitting here watching the SOTU and I see Boehner behind Obama and it is just funny.
If Boehner is doing the work of the people, how does he have such a good tan in January? You can see it in his eyes....you know he is thinking I need a drink and a smoke.
Who cares, so what if the man has a tan. At leas his face, isn't on so tight, that it looks like any minute, it will come off. Pelosi, take him any day over that witch.

I also found it funny that there wasn't much applause when he said he thought that house and senate members should---in the interest of transparency---post online every time they have a meeting with a lobbyist like the White House has done.

Reagan was an actor, of course his speeches were "the best".

Reagan is often mention as one of the best ever.
Even the lowly Obama studies Reagan on how to be a real man.
Obama could not carry Reagans jock without screwing it up.
When Reagan talked people listened on both sides and around the world.
