I don't usually watch TV while I'm in the kitchen; nor is it on when I'm cooking. We eat with it off - b/c that's family time. But, I'm sure you'll find something wrong with that as well, so let me have it!
It was an example. Sorry thought you would get that.
By defending this happening you are basically saying just that
I've never said people should think as I. That's ludicrous. Everyone has their own opinion - this happens to be mine, and you have yours. By you saying that, you're saying I'm wrong b/c I don't agree with you... Translating into you pushing what you believe onto me instead of the other way around, no?

Since you all love to generalize about liberals, I'm going to make an observation about conservatives... any time a liberal states a personal opinion, you accuse them of "pushing" a belief or expecting everyone to agree. If we all agreed on everything, wouldn't that make us all either conservative or liberal? Nice concept, I guess, but certainly not one that is based on reality. So please, disagree with us - I welcome it! I just don't welcome personal jabs, as those go way beyond a political view.
That may be, but I haven't heard it yet. And even if I did, it really wouldn't matter. I'm not easily offended. I actually get a rush from debating with people. Probably why I'm working my way into law school.

Its rather simple
A liberals thinks that recycling should be something everyone is required to do. They push an agenda to make people feel guilty for not doing it.
A conservative thinks they should be able to make the choice to not recycle if they dont want to do it. Yet they dont care if the liberal does recycle.
But I have not made this issue about liberal / conservative.

Maybe conservatives should use that logic while debating abortions as well.

When you defend this happening and making excuses for it happening. You are saying it should be accepted by people. Why else would you be defending it happening.Which is pushing your opinion on others
I however think that if you wish to allow your child in the room with a show like sex and the city thats your choice. But that we should both be able to watch a sporting event without sex and the city type of dialogue being said.
