I dont think a civil war like the first one will ever happen again. Some states might revolt but the way we today give Washington our money & then beg for it back means that many states would have BIG troubles without Washington on their side. Also we dont have regional independence to the degree we once did. Our food is mostly grown far away & shipped to denser populated areas for instance. Certainly food wasn't grown IN the cities of the North last go round but it was grown close. NYS couldn't feed NYC & I doubt the rest of New England could support itself let alone help NY, the same for other eastern states. We need the midwest to eat. I guess the western states could seceed, but then theres the economy I mentioned before.
If it were to happen again it should be all or most of the states against an overbearing abusive centralized fed. We dont have serious cultural issues such as we had in the 1860's. We have 300,000,000 + people being used by the Govt in Washington to fund global control schemes & secure their own places in history. If we want to see the people at fault for 99% of our woes all we need do is watch TV, the folks to blame give state of the union adresses, they vote in congress & are elected by us all. We are our own worst enemy & the people we elect have learned to use that knowledge to benefit themselves at any cost.

There's no need for a revolution in the US. We have elections and freedom. If you don't like the way things are, get involved in the political process.
