Obama does seem too smart and sophisticated to literally believe in any of the silly organized religious mythologies. But he knows enough of the need to keep up appearances. I look forward to the day when it is not a big deal if the President happens to be an athiest, agnostic, Hindu, or whatever.
It'll be a great day when we get an atheist president. A wonderful day indeed.

Hardly worth another discussion--sigh--I'm sure someone has already mentioned Thomas Jefferson and the Founders' views on religion--by some standards all were 'secular humanists'.
Who among us doesn't reside in the proverbial glass house and therefore who is in a position to judge another's religion/Faith.
It seems 'community churches' are in vogue--'non-denominational'/etc. Yet--Christianity is what it is--there is no getting around it. It frequently boggles my mind.
Whatever the POTUS may believe I know my mission is to live according to my beliefs.
So, Bill Maher thinks Obama is a coward? Sounds like he's ok with it. Alinsky would be proud.
