Curious, I do not recall any riots or looting after 9-11 and there are people of every color and ethinic background in New York and across this nation. Nuff Said.

Granted, I was not living in NYC on 9/11. What I *don't* remember in the news coverage was whether any of the 9/11 attacks dessimated neighborhood upon neighborhood, communities as a whole. Were major thoroughfares and railway service in and out of NYC destroyed so that supplies could not get through. Were thousands upon thousands displaced from their homes and where all their food stores shut down and was the food supply stopped?
I don't recall that.
I do wonder that if all that HAD happened in NYC, where people were totally disrupted from their homes and food supply (as in with Katrina), would we have seen crime? Maybe...
While 9/11 was shocking, violent, and disturbing plus had a very large human toll which still goes on with illness, the majority of people in large areas were not displaced. And the ones that were, were easily taken care of.
Exactly. When the big one hits Los Angeles there will be looting, there will be rioting, and there will be assimilated Japanese-Americans participating in looting and rioting. Count on it!
I doubt Japanese-Americans will be rioting and looting.
Looting culture in America spans ALL races. It's part of the American mantra of "Get mine."
So while some in this thread might like to break it down by ethnicity, the truth is, when the crud hits the fan in America (as the supposed "crisis of the onset of 2000 showed), every single dang ethnicity is out there "getting their's."
Its kind of like an American mantra to only focus on getting what you need, to the detriment of your neighbor, at all costs and any means necessary.
