Come on, not one believes we are only participating in a "no-fly zone" operation. We are attacking Gadaffi's ground forces, that has been well documented. If all we were doing was keeping his planes grounded, we'd park a Ageis ship off the coast and sit back and watch the show. As you say, we have to have FACs on the ground, as well as intelligence assets. The smart money is on the US, either alone, under the UN or under NATO, being utilized to "keep the peace", even if we don't have troops in direct combat during the ground war.
BamBam owns this one.
I agree with you completely, or you me, one of those. I would point out that most diehards honestly take Obama at his word, no matter how many time they get bit for doing so.
We have more than doubled the cost of this NFZ to the tune of $550,000,000 and climbing the charts with a bullet.
A perfect example of total denial. When Obama enters a war, it's all good because his wars are different from the other wars. You know, because Bush got us into those, making them far worse. We started in Irag with a no fly zone, so the beginning is a carbon copy. How exactly was Gaddafi a threat to the US? If this escalates don't be surprised.
The Middle East imploding is a threat to the US.
I think a lot of conservatives are in "shock and awe" that Obama, the "annointed Muslim" has the balls to take such action.

The only shock we're in is that Obama started bombing Libya for reasons less palitable than Bush going into Afghanistan and Iraq. That he'd have the nads to say "there will be no boots on the ground", knowing full well there will be. That he'd do this when we can little afford a third war, that he'd stretch our armed forces so thin, that he'd consider arming the same people who will use our weapons to kill our soldiers when they gain control of the region.
You are confusing balls with arrogance and stupidity.
My $550M guestimate was just published today... what a shock! Look for this thing to go over $2B this month and expect it to run $100-150M a day when we start arming the Libyans (so they can fire more bullets into the air). Don't worry about it though, there's plenty of money (what's that sucking sound?).
