It's a word, get over it. There is nothing to get over. You can't use it the way i can use it. That's something that YOU'VE got to get over...not me.

They do want to use it. Badly. If they didn't, the word wouldn't be such a big deal.

I don't think that was his point, I think it was that if it's that offensive, then maybe black people shouldn't be referring to each other that way. Kinda make them hypocrites.

How long do you think it'll take for all blacks to become educated and intelligent enough to stop using the word? It's clearly only something that uneducated blacks do so how long will it be before we can put this issue behind us as humans and move on to fixing things that are a big deal?

You might be right. MIGHT be right. But in any case, what does that have to do with you?

Besides, we can refer to ourselves any way we want to. We don't tell other groups what they can call themselves.

What does my using it have to do with YOU using it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Has not a thing to do with education or intelligence. I'm educated. And i'm damn sure no less intelligent than you. Some black folks think the same way...that it has something to do with education. Bull. The rich and poor, educated and non-educated use the word in their own little circles. That's not to say that ALL educated blacks use the word, but many do. You just don't hear it, which is how it should be.

As for fixing things that are a big deal....like what? I have nothing that is broken at this time. I'm in pretty good shape. My outlook is fairly positive. My life is a good one. So there is nothing to fix from where i sit.

Now if you mean you and i working together to fix OTHER peripheral problems, there is nothing stopping it from happening now. I mean, i couldn't work with you personally knowing your views, but in a general sense, there is nothing stopping people from working together at this point and time. Hell, they do it all the time.

Just pointing out that it shouldn't be said period. It involves me when my son is outside at the park and hears n*gga every other word when the black kids at the park are talking to each other. Is it as bad as someone calling a black person that as a racial slur? No, not even close, but it's still ignorant and low class. I get you saying you'd be upset enough to fight if someone called you a racial slur, if someone called me (meant to be a racial slur) white boy, cracker, guerro, there's a likely chance they'd get their ass handed to them. I wouldn't disrespect someone like that and I expect the same in return. But I don't call my friends those names either.

Anyone calling someone else a n*gger or n*gga or any other variation of it propagates ignorance regardless of what color the person's skin is or what they mean by it, period.

I don't think you ever have to worry about having to work with me or my views nor do I have to worry about getting your resume any time soon.

Dude...give it a rest. You're a worker bee just like everyone else on here. You're not receiving resumes. Who do you think you're kidding?

I swear, everybody on CD (on the right) swears up and down that they're a bigshot.

Kids are kids. That's another world. I'm talking about adults. All kids will use forbidden language the minute their parents aren't around. If the black kids are all calling each other the N word, it may come off as ignorant, but kids are ignorant anyway. That's why their kids.....they're dumb as hell.

What you call your friends isn't my business....you're white. That hasn't a damn thing to do with me. My business is black folks. What we say to each other is our business. I do make it a point to not ever say the N word around white folks, but some people aren't as judicious as i am about it's use. That said, even still...it's not your call to make regardless.

Besides, if those kids really disturb you when they're saying it around your son, you DO have the option of chastising them about their language around your child. You ARE an adult....there is nothing wrong with doing that.
