I would vote for him. However, the whole idea of "the free market will fix everything" will not solve all of the country's problems like Paul claim it will. Just look how well that turned out for Ireland.
Doubtful, that family seems a bit too wacky for my tastes.
BTW I'm an independent, don't consider myself a dem,really.
A guy that served his country, became a doctor, has
been married to the same women for 54 years, has 5 children and 18 grand children - wow that is too wacky for my taste
Where's the divorced adulterer who skips out on wives when they become sick (cancer/multiple sclerosis) when you want
them to run for president - oh wait...
Gingrich is running
Ron Paul will be 76 years old in a few months. Would people actually vote for someone going into the White House at that age? It's not like it's a "low stress" job.
As a democratic leaning independent, Ron Paul is the ONE republican I have respect for. That doesn't guarantee I would vote for him because he is way too much of an ideologue in my opinion. He makes sense on most issues, but most importantly, comes out as an honest politician (a rarity), but he assumes the real world to be a replica of a utopia. Sometimes, too much of states' rights person as well, whereas I'm for people's rights.
I totally agree.

That said, I really don't think he would be a good President. He is not forceful enough nor does he act like a leader. He's more of a professor type, spreading ideas. I like him for that reason. I don't have any illusions that he would even win the Republican primary and I'm not a Republican, so I couldn't vote for him unless he made it to the general election, something I seriously doubt would happen.
I very much agree with this as well.
I am an Independent and really will more than likely vote for Obama unless someone comes out there who wows me something fierce, which I doubt will happen.
I don't have anything against Ron Paul and don't agree with all of his political ideals but most importantly, I feel he focuses too much on States Rights as well and has a utopian view of the past that he seems to hope to bring back. The good ole days weren't all that great to the majority of people in this country. I especially don't like his views on education though and some of his ideas about healthcare.
