Oh great, now you're out to call those who defy collectivism as stupid, Mr Self-Defeater.

Well, well..I guess we know where America stands on the medicare issue if republicans will vote out their own who want to get rid of it.
Its always fun to be able to say "told you so"

(not you but the neo-cons on this forum who told us that Ryan's plan was the greatest thing since sliced bread).

Ryan could just cost the GOP the House and the Presidency in 2012

I think its safe to say that many people left the Republican voters to vote for a Democrat.

Face it, the nation will have to be fixed without making significant changes to social security or medicare. It can be done, its just going to take significant cuts in other areas, mainly the military.

Those idiots in NY 26, how dare they actually look at Ryan's Folly and see what it does. Silly of them, huh?

So what's the plan, Bob? Keep spending until the program is completely broke? The "tax the rich" plan does very little if spending is not curbed.

I am continually amazed when liberals celebrate the maintenance of entilements as they are, yet completely ignore the fact that such policies will result in the complete destruction of these programs. In order for medicare and social security to exist in some form in the future, they must be reformed with higher age eligibility and fewer benefits. To do nothing ensures anarchy.

People need to understand that there is no appetite in middle-America to get rid of Medicare or social security. Of course the system needs to be reformed but privatization is clearly a non-starter. So we need to be mature about this and start talking about other options.

The erosion of the american people to fox news propaganda continues,....

Otherwise this is a very telling vote for the way the country is shifting. Wisconsin is another example in the supreme court justice race with the unknown democrat going from being down by 30+ percent in the primaries to just barely losing by .5% to the republican incumbent. Not to mention 80,000-100,000 people protesting against Walker and the right with countless others nationwide. 6 of the 8 republican senators are up for recall, the biggest in the state's history.
Tea party and republican candidates getting booed at town hall meetings for their proposed plans to destroy medicare,..
It's looking quite clear the american people know the republicans and especially the tea party were full of it and want nothing to do with creating jobs or lowering the deficit. Their idea of cutting spending is nickel and diming essential services and refusing to make the big cuts to the pork like the democrats, independent and libertarian are.
2012 is looking good for freedom over cronyism

Of course the Republicans will continue to do what is best for the rich and their corporate masters, regardless of political fall out. It's called fascism.

That would be too logical for some, they prefer cancelling this "give away" to those unproductive Seniors. If that old guy isn't making me money, who needs them?

Remember the days when the fiscally responsible plan to trim $500B from Medicare was sold by conservatives as the cost of death bed for grandma? What were YOU screaming about back then? THAT was a far more logical step than the idea of pushing the elderly into the "charity" programs run by private health insurance companies.

Yeah, you raise the retirement age so the medicare "bubble" in 30 years that everyone is worried about now doesn't happen. And that doesn't destroy the system that people love, and it doesn't raise tax percentage points (although loopholes and subsidies should end)
