been reading thru the blog. One man, that wants to die, says his pain meds cost $880 a month. He would much rather leave his money to his wife, to make her life more comfortable after his passing.
Instead the states spend massive amounts of money prosecuting those that provide the means for people to end their own suffering.
It doesn't make sense, unless it's about religious control, and Big Pharma.

He was sent to prison by an old BS "common law" loophole. So primitive and archaic, it had laws such as - "It is against the law to not believe in the bible" and similar BS...
Thats the only way they could actually convict him of any wrong doing.
Why?
Why can't those who want to off themselves do it on their own?
Seems to me people are simply wanting to be divorced from the 'messy aspects' of offing yourself....like with almost everything in modern life.
Want to die?Grow a pair and off yourself.
cuz they could be paralyzed or crippled and unable to obtain the necessary equipment for a quick, painless, dignified death. or even a gun or knife for a messy death. surely the medical bill is far less than that of keeping them alive and suffering

Additionally, even taking a gun to your own head doesn't guarantee it will work. You could still live but be in even worse shape. Why not have a proven, methodical, physician-assisted and monitored process to minimize those risks?
PS- all those bringing up religious arguments: Give it up. Religion has no place in gov't laws and regs, so it matters not what your ancient holy texts say. In the end, if you don't like it, you don't have to participate.

Yes, and that has been explained to the poster numerous times but there is no comprehension apparent...
He seems to think points are awarded for those who kill themselves as opposed to those who get help...
