What? Show me where the passengers used weapons they, as far as I know, didn't have. The hijackers had boxcutters and used the fear of possibly having bombs. It still does not mean live like it's the wild wild west and allow anyone to have weapons on a plane with the public. What's wrong having a security person in plain clothes carry the weapon instead of just any jackass who happens to be on the plane.

9/11 would not have happend had there been proper security in the first place.

I know that this is a subject which has been discussed to death, but it shows how willing we are as a people to feel safe.

The Constitution no longer matters.

I love America. Always have. Unlike you, I'm not throwing in the towel. Quitter.

Where is it a given that once you've succumbed to being searched prior to boarding, the terrosts just don't p[erform a change-up and go with RPG's at the end of the runways instead?

The proliferation of thse damn things is such that any one of them could sit in a van at the end of a runway and bring the thing down into the middle of a city. How about a stinger on a boat off-shore. Even your basic frag grenade lobbed over a fence while a plane is sitting there waiting to taxi would wreak havoc.

Keep up this airport hysteria and pretty soon we'll all be issued little paper jump suits and told to put our clothing into a bag to be sent via cargo. TSA is just another panacea to give us the false sense of security.

To truly stop these cretins we have to be able to identify them BEFORE they get anywhere near an airport.

Yes it is the best way by starting at the airport before they even get on the premises but it's not the only way and shouldn't be. We still need to have security checks. Since no one knows who could flip out and go postal we can't assume it will always be someone who hates this Country or has a cause so it's better to check all passengers....no amount of convenience is worth the taking of innocent lives and the paranoia of assuming we will all be stripped naked and physically violated in our private parts in public doesn't help to improve our safety. As for those who have a cause/hates America we cannot assume they are all identifyable just because we think they are.
