Maybe for some of them.
For others, I think it's just a "brain disconnect" and they are incapable of thinking it through properly (or refuse to) because the idea that gay people are born with a homosexual orientation contradicts their religious dogma.

It's also must be nice for them to have a group of people they can "tsk tsk" about, or use as scapegoats, or feel superior to, or even hate, because THEY would never "choose" to homosexual.

Because...well duh...they're heterosexual.

Honestly, that's probably it. They probably feel superior for some sick twisted reason and believe that they are better than homosexuals and anyone who supports them.

If someone told me they were once gay but were now straight, I wouldn't believe them, but I wouldn't question them either as it's their choice to pretend they are not gay.

There's far too many ex "ex-gays" that have told their stories of being pressured because of their religious beliefs to pretend they were "no longer gay" and were now "happy little heteros".

There is also no credible evidence that it works. There IS evidence that it is harmful.

The gay-haters are getting more ferocious, dishonest, and downright dumb with their "arguments". It reeks of their desperation since they are clearly losing their battle to demonize gay people. It's only going to keep going downhill; my only fear is that we will start to see MORE violence against the GLBT communtity as these people get more and more desperate

PS - The Q stands for "Questioning" not qu**r.

Lol, more clueless people who don't know their Bible. Sodomite is never used in the Bible the way you people think it is. A sodomite, in the KJV (which was the first translation to use it) was a temple prostitute. It comes from the Hebrew Qadesh.

By modern terminology, over 90% of heterosexuals are sodomites too.

Would you think it appropriate to blame every stupid antic that heterosexuals do on the entire straight population?

I've thought that for a while. I guarantee many of the most vicious anti-gays are probably suppressing same-sex feelings.

I was married, didn't come out until I was 28 due to pressure from my religious community and my social community at large. It was a painful life, but I'm much better now

Anyway, I see my old self reflected repeatedly by the gay-haters, sometimes it's even word-for-word

This intrusion may have been "cute" to some of the gays and their supporters here but the fact remains it was an act of vandalism. They did leave a mess to be cleaned up.
