Based on the fact that an inexperienced teleprompter reader was voted into the presidency by a majority of Americans I think we can safely conclude a majority of Americans are idiots.

When you can tell me how to calculate "fair share" and then show me how millionaires are not paying theirs, then maybe we'll debate the merits of this.

What should the overall tax rate on income for the rich be then? It's easy to fall for the idea that the rich are not taxed enough, even if they pay twice the tax rate that you pay, but what should that tax rate be?

Once the rich pay federal, state, county and local income taxes, what should that figure be? Will you feel all warm and fuzzy inside if they paid 60% of all their income in taxes. What if they are already paying that, then what, 75%, when will enough taxes be considered fair for you? Keep in mind 40% of Americans end up not paying in any income taxes at all, and many actually get more money in their refund then they even paid in.

The rich (Wealthiest 10% of the population) should pay all the cost of operating the country that protects them from foreign invasion and domestic revolutionaries. They have the most to lose to an invasion or a revolution so they should pay for that protection.

Well, back in the day, they used to pay 70-80%, and guess what? We had great schools, great roads and didn't owe China all of our first born children (boys, of course). So I'd say about 70-80%. But I would settle for 40-50%.

So if they take their wealth outside of the USA, to say, Canada, they would have nothing to lose and thus shouldnt pay any taxes?

What a ridiculous notion

Well, there are some democrats in Congress FLEEING from the same tired old page taken from the dem playbook.

His "plan" is getting widely criticized today, from all sides.

Of course, being the most transparent president ever, we and the media have seen right through the political ploy into the disingenuous campaigning.
