Interesting. Please discuss in detail exactly what the GOP controlled house has done that caused anything in that report.

You mean the first two years the democrats were in charge of congress....
It has gone down hill since they took over two years before the good guy (Bush) left office.................

We have only just hit the tip of the iceberg there. That is a slow process that takes years. Until that happens, confidence will not return to spur consumption and investment. The mere fact of another president coming in and lowering taxes on the rich will not make much of a difference - corporations are already at record historic levels up to their eyeballs in cash, both onshore and offshore. They are hoarding cash because they see the precarious state of the EU as well as demand at home, and they are fearing a second recession (which is probably going to happen).

Obama is not helping and probably needs to go, but people who think that just reducing taxes and regulations will suddenly make the "confidence fairy" appear and bring back happy times probably need to take a few economics courses. Bottom line is that we need consumer demand to heal and recover, which accounts for a good two thirds of GDP. And that cannot really be sped up by any government policy of any politician.

Quite true and good points. Tax structure and regulatory changes will go a long way to begin the path back to prosperity. I agree, however, that position in home and commercial realestate need to unwind before a full recovery can begin. There are many other factors as well, the massive deficits included, that create a spectre of higher interest rates and a lower dollar that need to be addressed.

The above being said, Obama is interested in none of these solutions. Nearly any candidate will be an improvement upon his positions for job creation.

You too, Roy. Sarcasm, sarcasm. Why else would I point to the fact that the Republicans have only had a majority in the House since January 2010. Had I pointed out that the Democrats have both the Presidency and a majority in the Senate, then there would have been no sarcasm.

One mo' time. This was sarcastic. Clearly, it was too subtle. Or, we are all so wired for fight that we do that as an involuntary muscle twitch.

You did know that...right? You did know that democrats had both chambers of the congress from 2007 - 2010 and then the WH in 2009?

In addition to having these wonderful pictorials of obama's successes, we have his WORDS.
