This has been an interesting story and fingers have been pointing everywhere. Recently Cain's top aide is blaming Perry for the leak which is plausible with how far he has plunged and his desperation to get back into race.
However the other factors are two of the biggest GOP players, Rove and the Koch's vowed between the two of them to give over half a billion dollars in campaign funds to the GOP in the 2012 election. Rove has been backing Romney while the Koch's are behind Cain. Rove has made his entire carrier on digging up dirt and backstabbing, possibly Rove is behind the leak?
There's also loons like Ann Coulter throwing the "blame the liberals" garbage as usual. The question, who is likely behind the leak?

Shouldn't the question be 'who do you THINK is responsible?
Not even CD posters KNOW who is responsible.

Maybe that is what was implied?

I didn't think it would be that difficult to realize that

Appears to be Perry's camp. I guess Cain's fans can no longer blame liberals for it. For shame.

I think Karl Rove and other GOP establishment insiders are worried that Cain was getting too popular with the conservative base and would somewhat complicate the inevitable crowning of Romney as the party's nominee so they had to cut him down a little to smooth the road for the slick flip-flopper from Massachusetts. Also if Cain won one of the early states it would expose a weakness in Romney's candidacy which the Democrats could use to their advantage in the general. Karl Rove decided that he couldn't have that happen. Hence Cain became the sacrificial lamb.

That said, Cain is as guilty as Clarence Thomas regarding the sexual assaults. Conservative black men as well as white men tend to have a kinky side to them.

I'm guessing it's a last-ditch effort by Rick Santorum... Wait, is he even still running?

I don't know and I'm not guessing who is responsible but the allegations sound so flimsy, like there's no beef, or there's no there there, and I'm not seeing any wrongdoing on Cain's part.

My guess is that Cain had the misfortune to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The allegations sound to me as if they came from opportunists with Male Derangement Syndrome.
