In Australia it's the law that you must vote. If you don't I think you are fined. I wish we had that law here in Canada.
Both in Canada and in the USA I would imagine that it will never happen though because each party would be afraid that it would benefit the other guys, LOL.
I actually think it would benefit the left because the left represents the interests of a far larger class than the right does.
I think that fact is the reason that most attempts to disinfranchise folks in the USA come from the right and always has throughout USA history.
