So Obama put every sacred cow in the Democratic Party on the table for negotiations. Got hammered by the left for compromising. Then he just "reneged" on the deal.

No. The talks broke down because the GOP couldn't accept a deal that cut 3 trillion dollars in spending and raised 1 trillion in new tax revenue. Obama stuck out his hand and it got slapped by the spoiled brats in the GOP who wanted it their way or default.

Oh please@ he is plenty right! Hope n' Change, economy on the brink of being one of the worse ever, because of Obama's Spending. Yes perhaps past Presidents have been know to spend, but Obama is over the top.
That overrun line was such a farce.

Obama has no clue in hell how to get us out, or how he got us in, he has made things worse, HIGH UNEMPLOYMEN STILL, HOUSING STILL COLLAPSING, BUSINESSES SO UNSURE OF OABAMA, HIRING, EXPANDING, people can't save a dime, what hope, the thousnads of people who lost their jobs under OBAMA! AND THEIR HOMES UNDER OBAMA, what hope do they have this Christmas!
Unlike the claims Obama made of himself during his ranting, while campaigning, were lies. This ain't the change people had hoped for, the way he made himself sound, this Country was going to be the best again, no in the hell we are not.
I know 16 lovely hard working Americans who lost their jobs under this President and his whacko administration, and of those only 5 have found jobs to replace the one they had for many many years, making very goodd money. But unlike what we are told, get out there and start applying for a job, you will see, it is not like what we are being told. Obama sorry is responsbile, who else is to blame little green men.

So many words, yet so little thought. Sigh.

Well some of those tax pledges were signed when taxes were higher than they are now. So this whole tax pledge thing in some cases has become we can't raise taxes back to the level it was when we signed the pledge not to raise taxes.

That's not what Boehner said ... and I believe Boehner any day over Obama who has done nothing but lie to the American people time after time.

How convenient that every Republican member of that committee signed that pledge years ago.
Was this a failed committee right from the get go ?

What facts? The lack of a bill supports that there was no agreement

Seriously - why were these six selected for the committee if they had signed this pledge?

It's not like the Democrats chosen were the type to compromise either.

Why not if the goal was to actually accomplish anything?

Nope ... Kyl said today that the GOP offered tax increased as part of the negotiations despite that agreement that was signed years ago.

Excellent. Way to call those Pubs on their utter nonsense.

I think it's pretty clear now. What President Obama wants is absolutely right for this country.

What republicans want is detrimental to the country and serves only a privileged few.
