Yeah, I've noticed that.

To all those who complain....why exactly are you complaining that they are doing a good and thorough job? You act as if an 85 year old women could not be a terrorist or that an adult terrorist would never hide a weapon on a child? Like a terrorist absolutely could not hide a chemical agent in a cup cake or other pastry.

If all this complaining leads to a draw back on how the TSA operates, it will lead to them being more lax and create a weakness amongst airport security. Think about it, if you were one of these terrorists, where would you hide a weapon? Hmmmmm..... they will never suspect a child or an elderly women would be concealing any weapons, so lets try that!

Well those Depends and colostomy bags can certainly be classified as weapons of mass destruction.

I'm glad the TSA is protecting us from five year old white girls because god knows they've blown up a lot of planes and buildings. And let's not forget the threat posed by cupcakes and cake!

I see the National Socialists aren't backing down from the proposition that irradiating children and strip-searching grandmothers is a good balance between liberty and security.

So would it be ok to "search" 5 year old black, asian or arab girls? Should TSA wait until that 5 year old white girl's dad smuggles a gun in on her which you will immediately cry out about? As far as the cupcakes, there may have been a terrorist attempt using food you know nothing about. There was a time when terrorist weren't expected to use planes as missles, but bombs in shoes or underwear, make liquid bombs that can bring down planes etc. If that 3 minute search is so horrible, don't fly.

I think a 5yr old with a gun smuggled on her person just may set the metal detector off. No need to fondle her. Just saying. I can't live my life in fear like some of the posters here seem to do. I think TSA is a joke, and they certainly do not make us any safer. But, if you buy into the facade, so be it.

They could also sew a bomb into a baby's abdomen, they could sew it into their own abdomen, they could do a lot of horrible things. The fact is that you will never be 100 percent secure. Prior to the TSA they took reasonable precautions. Like I said to guy who started the thread, we could do lots of things as a society to cut down car accident, drugs and crime. It doesn't mean such extreme measures are worth giving up your personal freedom, especially where you have a one in thirty million chance of being killed in an airline terrorist attack.

Once again, you all say things thinking you know what you are talking about and you don't even make sense.

You do realize that there is a law protecting a TSA officer and there is no law that allows someone to touch a stranger? Also, I don't recall a TSA officer being able to "grab" anyone's breast or genitals. That's another place where you are wrong.

Can they search a car in a public parking lot without any probable cause? That's a rhetorical question.

Allowing a federal agency to search my personal property, with me not being present, with NO CAUSE for starters.

Allowing a federal agency to confiscate my personal property, with NO CAUSE, to continue.

Buying the defense of theft as "it's just a few bad apples" is the icing on the cake.

You would be the first one to enter the "showers" in the new America. It's a shame people willingly accept tyranny.
