Why is it harder in America to climb the economic ladder than in Europe? (Obama, how much)

What the hell do you care about what ticket i used? What i do isn't your business nor is it the point of this thread.
You can address what i said, or keep it moving. If you have questions about my airport and airline experiences, you can PM me.
The point is you are here. Those who prefer the sit on your ass European lifestyle have many choses of nations to reside in. Us who prefer the freedom of the savannah over the freedom from want of the zoo have few.
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that is the way to bet.
It also helps to be a decent human being so you have family and friends to assist you on a rainy day.
Lots of decent people don't have family that they can rely on. At least it works that way in the real world....the place that i happen to inhabit. You might wanna visit sometime. You'll be amazed at the things you'll see.
Or, you can keep living inside of an Ayn Rand novel. That certainly helps if you want to have an unrealistic world view of the human condition.
It might be useful to consider the poverty and child poverty rates of Portugal or Spain, those are probably the two worst countries in the EU, so whatever their percentages are, the EU as such is doing way better than that.
Just found a chart, seems Italy is even worse than Iberia

The place you happen to reside in I am glad I don't live there. I cannot imagine letting any of my friends go homeless or hungry, nor can I imagine my family or friends letting me do the same. I realize 75 years of the welfare state has undermined the family and basic human values but most of us still got them.

People don't sit on their ass in Europe. Most countries have a lower UE rate than America. But i guess you are an idiot who thinks that 50 % of Europeans use the welfare state and 50 % pay taxes.

No...the point is that i've had the chance to live in both places for an extended amount of time. It's not as simple as "us good" and "them bad." I have enough sense to understand that nuance is the key here. I happen to be able to function in both places, and i find good and bad in both systems and way of life. If you read my first post in this thread, you'd know that.
You know nothing about Europe, and it's evident. "Sit your your ass lifestyle?" LMAO....please. This whole "we're number one," Boobwahzee nonsense is so typical of your big screen TV watching, pickup truck driving, McMansion house owning, Rush listening, myrmidons that you find all too often in this country.
