yeah, the political pressure was pressure to HONESTLY LOOK AT IT. when they gave into pressure to scientifically look at it it was overturned as a mental illness.

if that doesn't convince you you can meet non mentally ill gay people in real life.

being gay is a sexual orientation. i'm a VIRGIN homosexual. i know many of teenagers who are heterosexual and have never had sex.

I wasn't pointing out a person in particular; I was pointing out attraction only, tendencies, desires, etc.

Instead of "normal," I will instead use the word "conventional," which I did in my earlier post.

sorry. never experienced being straight a day in my life. we're all born different.
It's not "subtle bigotry" (there's that "B" word again). It's his opinion and he has every right to it, as do you.

Who's to decide if they are right or wrong?
Then why do you and the Conservatives want to control the bedroom and people's lives?

"Straight, straight, straight." The correct word is "regular" or "heterosexual."
And I don't use the word "gayness," I use the word "homosexuality."

All I said was that the studies and research don't agree 100% on the matter of the causes of homosexuality. I'm not really that concerned what causes it; I'm just grateful that I'm a hetero!
We would love to stop using it, as soon as people stop being such.

Yet you jump to conclusions on a daily basis. One can just look at your posts or other Conservatives.

Who has say over what is normal vs. abnormal? It seems as though the Republicans control it the way they act.

yes it is. it's the assumption that we don't even actually exist. it's unique to a minority group.

it's implying that there really are NO GAY PEOPE, but straight people with an abnormality.

Who ever said that he didn't have the right to his opinion?

so if someone says that black people are inferior, and a black person says that's not true, then is that person saying he doesn't have a 'right' to his opinion?

i don't understand you can say anything that's untrue or bigotrous you want to and nobody has a right to defend lies?

I think what you mean is that you believe everyone has a right to feel that their opinion is valid. THAT IS NOT A RIGHT.

Of course you call it Bigotry it goes against your opinion, you can't remember back to when you were born so you don't know if you were straight but the truth is that there is no reason or logic anyone would be born Gay, the species must survive and being gay would make no sense what so ever. If you thought about being Gay when you were a child then ya better think back as to who put that thought in your head.
