What? I teach history. I don't deal with condoms (allergy to latex) and I don't try and make my students giggle. I talk about the Constitution, voting rights, political responsibilties, slavery the Holocaust. I take my job seriously. I want to teach my students to think, and think rationally. I'm paid to teach-not entertain.

Neither Romney or Gingrich could hardly even be classified as conservative. If you are a good teacher you should know that.

Good for you, you are trusted to teach somewhat innocent children. You were never there to push Christianity, Islam, Teacher Union politics or socialism.

Teach your subject by the book and go home.

It is the honorable thing to do.

My wife takes classes at Santa Monica COLLEGE. At that level they open their big mouths. Some rabid lesbian hateful person decided to tell her class Christians were F'd in the head during class without any relation to the subject of Psychology that she (as head of the dept.) was teaching.
Even like that IMO it was out of line.

My wife is pretty liberal and even she coudn't take it.

So they can be brainwashed by their moron, extremist parents who think the Earth is 6000 years old, and Adam rode around on Dinosaurs?

Abosolutely and totally ridiculous. I think that it is shamefull to ridicule people in that manner for their beliefs.

I don't suppose it came as a surprise to your students, you dimwhits aren't good at hiding your ignorance, such as Obama is trustworthy, but Ron Paul is too radical.
Your students could probably teach history better than you. Hopefully you are retiring soon with a big fat pension that the tax payers will provide for you, while they struggle to keep the lights on.

I like the "coming out of the closet" part. Makes it sound as if being a Democrat is something to be ashamed of. And you know what...it is!!!!

Really? I said that I would admit to my political leanings.

I didn't say that I thought that Obama was trustworthy.

I did't expound on the fact that I think that Ron Paul's economic policies are too radical at this juncture in time, which I thought would make my post too long.

I won't be retiring soon, so sorry.

And, I hope that my showing my students the republican and democrats platforms (as published by them) shows my ignorance doesn't offend your sense of fairness. Maybe, I should run FOX news the whole class period and smile.

For you I think I should explain the term satire or irony.

The only thing sane about Ron Paul are his economic policies. You need to pay closer attention to what is going on. Maybe pop your head out of that closet once and a while and take a look at reality.
