Not that it probably matters to Zimmerman's rabid supporters and donors, but I'd be curious to see an accounting of where that much money went in that short a time.
It would seem that some of it may have been used for part of the bond...
Somebody yesterday - right here on CD - said that Zimmerman did good by taking out the garbage.
We don't know who trash is and I think that was probably some young stupid male barking oif that was said.
If they said this was Sharpton, Jackson or the new Black Panther Party we would all know they are true garbage. A kid though? No!
On top of that, Zimmerman didn't set this up and had no knowledge it even existed.
I know how you love to go off on uninformed tangents, but Zimmerman was in full control of the money, having spent some $50,000 on living expenses. While he may have not physically set up the site, it was his.
The person who didn't know about the site or the money collected was his lawyer who has now taken control of the money while they attempt to figure out what to do with it and the site. All of which indicate that Zimmerman was in control at all times.
Personally, I don't begrudge either Zimmerman trying to raise money online or any other way for that matter. He is going to need it and because he didn't inform his attorney he is going to need it even more because an attorney who previously thought he was working for peanuts is now going to start charging at the going rate.
In a CNN interview Thursday, O'Mara said he was surprised to learn about the money. "He asked me what to do with his PayPal accounts, and I asked him what he was talking about," O'Mara said. "He said those were the accounts that had the money from the website he had. And there was about ... $204,000 that had come in to date."
