i never thought i would say that i was glad someone was dead, but i am glad that rudy eugene is dead. i think it is disgusting that his mother is defending him, knowing what she knows happened.
we have to really think long and hard about letting 3rd world people into america-where we are bound to have inevitable values clashes.
the world doesn't all have the same values system, and i sure don't see america going in the right direction now.
Again, if conservatives think this is a serious issue and injustice, they should get the ball rolling 40 years later and get funding for mental facilities for indigent mentally ill people who have nowhere to go other than the streets and jail/prison for committing crimes.
Up-to-date, clean, ethical places for the severely mentally ill who are indigent and need help.....why do you just do nothing while blaming liberals?
There was funding for mental facilities the do gooders didn't like the conditions, as per your link, and threw the whole system out.
This conservative would gladly support state funded mental institutions if it means committing people is easier. As it stands now in the state I work in they just dump the crazy people in the Acute Psych wards.

Well now, where did the liberals think all the mentally impaired people would go once the asylums were shut down ?
40 years...half cooked ideas of social justice. No follow-up, no tracking, no modifying when things don't turn out quite right.
Nothing will be done because it will cost money and no governments (city, state, federal) has that money to spend.
does the administration think we don't have enough crime already? when our unemployment rate is so high and our country is so unstable, what the heck are they thinking????

But he hadn't done anything before this to be locked up. He wasn't out of the ordinary except for the high number of marijuana arrests.
