But explain to me how advocating for the rights of Black American like the NAACP or the Urban Leagues promotes racial division?
And by the way none of the groups you mentioned are part of "Big Government".
Nor are the groups you mentioned. Of course, that doesn't matter to you.
The groups that I mentioned work only for one race, to the exclusion of others and try to influence the government to agree with them. They tend to put down other races as to advantaged already.
I see "Black American" as and ethnicity NOT a "race." The problem is when you confuse "race" with "ethnicity." Bi-racials, Hispanics, etc. can CHOOSE to be "Black Ameican" IF they fit into the cuture. If not, they can go their own way.

I think whatever race a person relates to is the one the person should choose. I really don't care that President Obama chooses to relate to the Black Community and culture more than his mom white side. He's black and it was probably easier and more comfortable for him.

Freedom has nothing to do with genetics. We cannot change our genetics or claim to be something we are not. Genetics are inherited. Obama is a Mullato both black and white.

I said "Black American" not simply "black." Black Americans are a cultural group not a racial group. There a plenty of "black" people in the U.S. who are not "Black Americans."

You need an even bigger lesson in biology. From a biological standpoint there is no such thing as race. Race is social construct with the principle purpose of creating a social hierarchy whereby one group based on genetic phenotype is accorded higher social status, privilege and and opportunity compared to other groups.
