I am not familiar with pageant rules...but if she were to say she wasn't OK with transgenders/transexuals competing... Could she have been stripped of her crown?
Probably not but Perez Hilton would be all over the media calling her a c**t ad nauseum and the left would be condemning her and cheering for Perez.
Just because someone disagrees with something, when did that start equating to hate??
Have you forgotten how vilified Carrie Prejean was by Perez Hilton because she said she believes marriage is between a man and a woman? The media was screaming about it and there were several threads on CD about it.
A lesson for all future beauty pageant contestants--don't say anything negative about gays, transgenders, etc.
The fact that we actually have a transgender in the competition is evidence of that.

This whole business of separating restrooms based on gender has always seemed silly to me to begin with, but this is taking it up a notch to ridiculous. As far as I can tell, they are not numerous enough to justify having their own restroom.

I don't think any subjects considered "controversial" shoud be brought up in a beauty contest. These are not elected officials or policy changers, they are pretty girls.
Of course she answered yes ;so as mnot to be a target of the gay movement. Otehrwise they would have started the ahte. No surprise really. one has to wander if the question wasn't a setup which has been defused.
