A comment in another thread got me thinking: since gay pride parades seem to be getting attention - why aren't there many straight pride parades? Is being gay something to be proud of - whereas being straight not something that people think should be promoted as good? Would you support a straight pride parade if one took place in your local area? If straight pride parades became a phenomenon - would you seek to have them banned?

Why would you need to have one? Straights are not fighting for their civil and human rights.
When the day comes that gays and straights are equal in the eyes of the law, I would imagine the displays will cease.
NO - because I don't think "gay" and "straight" should even be included in our lexicon. "Straight" in this context implies a valid homosexual alternative. There is no valid homosexual alternative. Everyone is straight, but some are straighter than others.
Since, in practice, it would be a reactionary exercise with the purpose of generating backlash against the LGBT community and those who support them...

I don't know..on one hand I love a parade! On the other...it just does not make much sense to me...I have attended gay pride for a few years back in the 90's..

Since I can marry legally, make deicisions in my wife's critical medical care, don't fear someone will kill or seriously beat me because I'm straight, adopt a child, then, no, there's no reason for me to participate.
