Yeah. Sure. You know about the history of Georgia, right?
I hope they do block this. It's an insult to all of those people who have been victims of the KKK.
I would agree with you, but when you start blocking one group, you leave the door open to block legitimate groups.I have to wonder what the real agenda is behind this?
I find it disturbing that in 2012 the KKK and like organizations seem to be very comfortable about who they are and in fact are seeking public attention. Does that mean that they feel white racism is more acceptable now than it was, say, a decade or two ago? Seems these white supremacists groups are not only proud of their bigotry but they want as much public attention for it as they can get.
well said.
The state is condoning their past actions, and the KKK is using this for publicity.
The sad unspoken truth is that in many states (perhaps not all), but issues like this are a problem still.
In Bristol, Tennesssee a year ago a bi-racial couple had a cross put on their lawn by this hate group, it is an issue that states need to start addressing. The sponsor-a- highway thing is implied approval by the state.
If they wish to clean the highway and they actually keep their end of the agreement then by all means let them do so.
You should see the garbage scattered all over the streets of center city Allentown, PA!!
I never understood the mentality of Sh7tting in ones own nest but since I never go there but twice a year I guess I shouldn't care.
I'm not sure if this was already mentioned but' there's another state this already happened in along time ago so the city fought fire with fire and renamed the section of highway the KKK cleaned to the "Rosa Parks Memorial Highway". Sounds like there will be two highways named after her soon.
