Anyone who actually thinks Corporate America is going to foot the bill is smoking some great crack. I mean really...and the only other option is government subsidized. Where do you think that money is coming from? We can't just keep printing money. If the US got it's nose out of world policing and focused some taxpayer money on domestic issues we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Can you say "cash at time of service"? No? Too bad, so sad.
It's already happening. Many doctors have stopped taking Medicare. If doctors accept Medicare, they can't charge more than what Medicare reimburses. So doctors have stopped taking Medicare and "will bill Medicare for you" and require that you pay any charges that Medicare doesn't reimburse. It's similar to going to the dentist. The dentist says your insurance covers up to $500 and you will be required to pay the remaining $1000 and will bill your credit card or put you on a low interest loan.

It's just like with anything else in life. The burden is placed on the public, no one else gets hurt. What happens when stores are forced to pay higher costs.....they charge higher prices and place the burden on the public. Same concept

And all people that breath end up at a doctor's office sooner or later and you should have coverage so the rest of us don't have to cover your cheapness.

You mean pull an Obama and simply refuse to enforce the law? Not a smart move. Congress enacts, changes, or repeals all laws, not Presidents. If there is a provision within the law that gives the President the authority to grant waivers, that would be a much better approach. The President is merely exercising the power granted to him by Congress with regard to the law.

One thing is absolutely certain, this will bring a great many conservatives to the polls in Nov. that would not normally have shown up otherwise.

The rejection of the Commerce Clause and Nec. and Proper Clause should be understood as a major blow to Congress's authority to pass social welfare laws. Using the tax code -- especially in the current political environment -- to promote social welfare is going to be a very chancy proposition.

We will see many workers between 50-65 quit their jobs starting Jan 2014. They were keeping these jobs ONLY for access to health insurance. They will be able to buy the insurance starting in 2014. They have the money to buy it.

We will see many workers of all ages quit their jobs to start small businesses starting in 2014. They wanted to start these businesses for some time but stayed in their current jobs for access to health insurance. Starting in 2014, they can start a small business AND have access health insurance.

With those folks above quitting their jobs, it will open these jobs to other workers.

It is still we the people.

We need to put in people to overturn the legislation. That's the only other option at this point.

You are right. In many respects, Obamacare was a sell out to corporate special interests.

So, when are conservatives going to side with liberals in reducing the power of the corporate lobby?

Because Romney is far more a creature of corporate America than Obama is.

Right, you should have health insurance only when you're at least running out of breath, if not have already stopped breathing.

when i comes to health care, i support the swiss or taiwanese model.

However Kennedy got this right, this 'law' was a cluster [MOD CUT/language] from the beginning and should've been repealed in its entirety.

Essentially now private industry has the power to levy taxes if they can get enough political clout, as this is what the mandate boils down to.

That should be scarier to even those on the right compared to single payer, which would be a tax but going to the government.
