It's an optional tax Just like how you can optionally send more money into the IRS to pay down the debt!

Not sure how much that arguement will add. People already made up their minds if they like Obamacare or not. This doesn't change opinions much (but may change voter enthusiasm).

What a mess,so now I pay a tax instead of a fine and still cant afford health ins. and why do some posters consider me a righty or repub looser for my situation? cause I'm not on welfare getting it free? this doesent help working people.

I am saddened at the more and more invasive nature of the central government. We want care taking, that is what we will get. That and our lives directed and controlled, more and more. The Supremes have ruled. It is our system.
