It IS a tax. Period. If it is not, then it is unconstitutional according to the recent decision. Obamas lawyer made a case for it to be a tax and that is why it was upheld. Now the liar in chief wants to put words in the mouths of the justices to serve his own purposes and keep the truth from the American people once again. Unbelievable!

You don't have to pay the penalty. Just get health insurance and not mooch of everybody else. You don't have to get the parking ticket, just don't park in the handicap spot. If you decide to not pay the parking ticket, the fine increases. Is that fine increase a tax or a fine? It's a fine. If you don't have car insurance, you'll be penalized. Is that penalty a tax? Of course not.
That's not neccessarily true. Those who would face a penalty are those with the ability to obtain insurance but refuse to get it. I've read that the penalty would be between $600-$2000 per year depending on financial circumstances. Those figures are both less than the cost of health insurance. And, those penalized (free riders) will still be able to walk into an ER and receive service. Again, this is 2% of the population.
I guess you're good with people not contributing their fair share. Listen to Mitt explain it very well.

If you have insurnce, nothing changes, if you can't afford insurance you are now covered and if you can afford insurance and don't get it (2% of the population) you'll pay a fine which is less than the cost of health insurance.

The White house tells the court it's not a PENALTY, so the Commerce clause doesn't apply. Well, the ONLY way that can be true, is if it's a tax, so the Supreme court lets stand Obamacare under the guise that the penalty is actually a TAX.

The youth can now stay on their parents plan up until 26 so much of that issue has been resolved. The fact is, we all use the facitilities. How many people do you know that have NEVER been to the hospital? That's a total strawman.

Do you forget that Pelosi ran the House when this passed. Do you think ANYONE is going to question Pelosi regarding this ? I'm sure Pelosi has this covered. Afterall it was Pelosi, Reid and Obama that had those meetings to get this all together.
