Its really disgusting.

This is a good example of non assimilation of hispanics.
Would you say the same about John Flanagan? He won 3 golds and a silver for the US, then went back to Ireland...

Flanagan is always listed as representing the United States at his three Olympics, but in 1900 he was possibly still an Irish (actually British in that era) citizen, and we have not been able to find information about his naturalization status for 1904 or 1908.

It's just their daily talking point on a slow news day, as the Obama college classmate story fizzles. But if there's no HATE being brewed, then their master's know they may actual be able to clear their heads and think logically. Therefore they manufacture HATE.

Agree. Those who would make the flap, want to castigate Manzano, but will surely count the medal in the race against China in most medals.

Well from many comments here I can see there is a growing number of globalists.
Open borders, no allegiance to any country....that is the path to NWO my friends.
Takes time to get there but it seems we are on the way.

It's better if they vent their anger here on the boards than on the streets We don't need another 'patriot' from Wisconsin who feels like it is time to "water the tree of liberty" with other people's blood.

It's a shame they are incapable of celebrating the medal this guy brought to the US. It's a tight race against China, and every medal counts.

Yes based on the single Irish Crest and Mexican Flag (both immigrants born in Ireland and Mexico) being displayed over 100 years of the US Olympic History I can see where you could infer that....

IT HAS BEGUN!

Sorry, but it's far too late for that. The concept of multiculturalism is leading us to the balkan states of north america. As someone has already indicated this comes as no surprise to me. This situation has been coming on with all the stealth of a freight train for decades now.

What can be inferred is that the number of extremists and ideologues is withering. It's not about open borders, but some wish it to be. It's not about allegiance, although some pray for it be to further separation. It's not about a globalization, it's about one athlete being able to express himself in a manner as he wishes in accordance with his own countries foundations and standards.

But it is about the way that MY country seems to be finding it's way back to it's foundation and principles and the dwindling of those who would rather see separation and ideology vs. unity. And finally it may indeed seem we are on the way.

Well of course he should hold the Mexican Flag up with pride. He would have had as equal a chance to grow up and become an Olympic Medalist in the ****hole country that pooped him out as he did here in America, right? I'm mean just because his father crawled out of that cesspool to seek a better life for himself and his family he shouldn't forget all the floating turds in his land of origin. Come on what's wrong with you people anyway.

Or a "patriot" from Wisconsin who as some here seem to wish, as actions benefiting the US when it's their own perversions of it.
