Sorry to tell you, that's how it works in the private sector for everyone, unless you are your own boss. I suggest moving to a larger city with a heavier concentration of blacks. I see black males employed all the time. The first boss (manager) I ever had when I was a teenager was a black man. And he was a hard worker who I respected for working hard. You're fighting against yourself and you don't even know it.

That being said, it's a complex problem, not solveable in a pithy sentence or three.
I absolutely agree, racism did help create the imbalance, but why is that relevant to anything? The world is what it is today, and today the cause of violence in schools, etc. is moreso the neighborhood and upbringing a person lives in, not modern day racism. That means we need to fight educational/neighborhood imbalances, not racism.

Let's fight the imbalance, not the cause of it which died out years ago.

YOUR Thread title if offinsive!

From the linked article:
On Thursday, a deteriorating budget situation prompted what officials in Marion, Ind., called a “radical reorganization” of city services, which will result in the layoffs of 15 police officers (out of 58) and 12 firefighters (out of 50).

Tea Party people are not out trying to fire black people and such a notion is utterly disgusting. YOU need to appologize.

The problem is these towns and states are FORCED to deal with dudget crisis' because the federal government and Barak Obama did NOTHING to fix the economy. Instead they played fast and loose with healthcare and robed medicare to pay for it.

dont blame the guys who want things fixed. Blame the idiots who refuse to fix it!

enemycountry, the Tea Party may have been somewhat infiltrated by the Neocons but that wasn't its original intent. So you know, the very first time I ever heard of the moment was in February 2009. I watched it live. You can fast forward to 2:08 in the video if you know you won't watch the whole thing.

Rick Santelli and the "Rant of the Year" - YouTube

Again, I watched this live when all of this was falling apart. The Tea Party movement is a response to reckless government spending. I shouldn't assume, but I would imagine that at some point someone on C-D has told you that banks were forced to lend money for homes due to the Community Reinvestment Act. So, when the musical money chairs stopped, insert bailout. What did the bailouts do? They bailed out failing banks and mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac. These institutions were taking mortgages and packaging them together to be sold to investors around the world.

The Tea Party is about reigning in reckless government spending which will eventually lead to a bankrupt nation, thereby making it more difficult for future generations to compete in a global world. If governments--local, state and federal--go bankrupt, you're correct: they won't be hiring any middle-class blacks...or any other race or ethnicity. That's what the movement, and fiscal responsibility is all about--so things like this don't happen and shock the system where you are unprepared for a job loss. Change a few numbers on your TV dial from PMSMSNBC to CNBC or Bloomberg sometime. Go private sector. Tea time.

Oh baloney. This has nothing to do with skin color, but has everything to do with government waste, and failed socialist policies that are not only bankrupting the federal government, but local and state governments too.

The real deal is that "government" is bloated and overflowing with these overpaid, under worked bottom feeders who really aren't qualified to do anything except suckle the government teat, while the private sector doesn't have such artificially created jobs that pay a lot for doing nothing. There, you actually have to do something that is useful and valuable and generates profitable results to have a job. And even those jobs are disappearing in this horribly mismanaged economy.

And I speak from direct experience as a federal contractor in DC for 15 years when I say that I was astounded and appalled at the prevalence of waste, and the dominate attitude among such a majority of federal non-workers who felt overly burdened if forced to put in an hour of real work, rather than come in late, leave early, and socialize or do nothing useful the rest of the time on the clock. And when they did do something, they often did it poorly, and it needed to be redone by someone competent, or someone who actually cared about results.

Then, my experience with local government as a private citizen was no better. State DMV personnel .... lazy, nasty, disrespectful a-holes that acted as if they were doing you a favor as they bounce you through one bureaucratic loop after another .... and then I really got sick to my stomach when I had to go to the county offices in Fairfax to pay my "personal property tax" ..... there you'll find the Fairfax Government Center ... a classic example of obnoxious government waste on steroids. A veritable Taj Mahal, with marble floors, expensive wood paneled walls and cherry wood desks .... expensive art ... and even an engraved 50 ft diameter granite welcome emblem on the outside of the building. That's why they "needed" to charge me $1,100 annually for the privilege of operating my ford explorer in the county.

My heart bleeds for the poor government worker. Bleeds!!!!
