The question I have is if the public sector job can no longer be supported either by lack of need or lack of money why keep it? The fed should not be the largest employer. I can't think of a single department that isnt fat. The possible exception being border patrol.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

That's unpossible! Chicago couldn't possibly be racist and beating down on the unions etc. They are democrats!

Suckers.
Actually I feel pity for people who have nothing better to do than insult and bash people posting on an internet MB.

Did you see that next post to which I responded? The person who thinks that Brown v. Board of Education is the problem with our educational system????? Now, that's not really racist, is it? Suppose they prefer the Plessy v. Ferguson decision of 1896 which allowed state-sponsored segregation.

the "Tea Party" is indeed an extremist movement, which attracts other extremists such as white supremacists from Stormfront, and is financially supported by the Koch brothers, whose father was one of the founders of the John Birch Society....Fred Koch.

Correct. Black unemployment under Obama's reign has been growing way beyond the average.

The black middle class should give Obama the boot.

Oh yes, affirmative action at work. One guy filling up a pot hole and 4 guys watching him. Good, glad to hear they are clearing out the dead wood.

Millions of African-Americans — one in five who are employed — have entered the middle class through government employment, and they tend to make 25 percent more than other black workers.

You do realize that WOMEN have benefited from Affirmative Action, or did you think it was just for black people?

Is Branson in MO and is that where they have that huge country music entertainment "park"?

You do realize that affirmative action is institutionalized discrimination?

Racism comes from the black community, not the white community... You are a case in point...

Sometimes strong measures have to be implemented to correct long term imbalance like the many, many years of Jim Crow laws and the many years of discrimination against women in the workplace. I support that corrective measure.

The war against the middle class is being run by the globalists who wish us all to be enslaved. They view us as human cattle and useful idiots at best, useless eaters who are expendable at worst.

So it's not surprising that they are willing to sacrifice our young men and women for wars that have nothing to do with American safety or interests. The only interests that are being served if the interest of the globalists pocketbooks.

The cutbacks hurt more than just services. As Timothy Williams of The Times reported last week, they hit black workers particularly hard. Millions of African-Americans — one in five who are employed — have entered the middle class through government employment, and they tend to make 25 percent more than other black workers. Now tens of thousands are leaving both their jobs and the middle class. Chicago, for example, is laying off 212 employees in the upcoming fiscal year, two-thirds of whom are black.
So in other words bloated municipal governments should continue as is to serve as some sort of jobs programs for Blacks?
